Hxtend

HXTEND is a platform developed by MDConsgroup to extend and/or replace the use of monitors and visual resources normally used in procedure rooms (endoscopy, surgery, etc.). Our platform utilizes MIXED REALITY technology, based on HOLOGRAMS, capable of detecting hand gestures and ergonomically adapting to each user. To overcome the clinical paradigm, in Guayaquil-Ecuador, the Ecuadorian Institute of Digestive Diseases (IECED) and mdconsgroup, a software development company, joined forces to create the HXtend™ system with the goal of replacing surgical monitors within endoscopy units. The system employs mixed reality (MR) technology based on holograms and works using a dedicated processor and software, paired with HoloLens™ (Microsoft Corporation; Redmond, WA, USA) to fully digitize and integrate visual input into holographic displays. It allows for more autonomous, ergonomic, eco-friendly work without geographical limits, optimizing the workflow and helping users interact more quickly and efficiently with their environment. With HXTEND, distances are shortened, allowing you to virtually connect from anywhere in the world to the same procedure room. Borders are no longer a limit; you set the limits. With HXTEND, it will no longer be necessary to buy one or several screens/monitors/ceiling arms usually required in procedure rooms, as it allows you to see as many screens as you need for your work simultaneously, saving money, space, and resources. It is compatible with all processors. It can receive inputs from up to nine video processors (of any brand) and display a corresponding number of up to 9 Full-HD hologram screens. The HXtend™ system uses MR, an interactive technology, processed in real-time and registered in 3D, with advantageous features in endoscopy, such as gesture operation, 3D spatial guidance, and voice commands, allowing for safer, more comfortable, ergonomic interaction, adapted for GI endoscopists (translation and rotation) in endoscopic procedures. It features AI-assisted layout that automatically repositions screens and removes switches. The HXtend™ system enables real-time virtual global connectivity (local network, Wi-Fi, and satellite) and direct interaction with several endoscopists during a procedure without delays. This feature (R-Intel Board) could be used for training and assisting less experienced endoscopists during procedures, allowing voice communication between operators and featuring interactive image functions (e.g., a remote expert can draw a line on the screen showing where a puncture is needed for drainage), making it ideal for educational purposes.

HXTEND™ SYSTEM ADVANTAGES

AI-assisted design, can replace surgical monitors: Up to 9 Full-HD holographic screens. Using this system as a replacement for surgical/endoscopic monitors could become the cornerstone of remote endoscopic procedures, remote training, and assistance for less experienced operators.

HXTEND™ MEDICAL APPLICATIONS

HXTEND Medicine is designed to be used in procedure rooms, replacing physical monitors with the use of glasses, projecting the image directly onto the lens wirelessly. With HXTEND, it will no longer be necessary to buy one or several screens/monitors/ceiling arms usually required in procedure rooms, as it allows you to see up to 6 screens simultaneously, saving money, space, and resources. Our hardware can receive inputs from up to six video processors (of any brand) in HD quality at 60 frames per second, with no image delay. The HXtend system includes gesture operation, 3D spatial guidance, and voice commands, allowing for safer and more ergonomic interaction.

Virtual Medical Consultations

HXTEND facilitates medical consultations through virtual offices using Mixed Reality technology. The platform allows doctors and patients to interact immersively and in real-time through holograms and hand gestures detected by the system. Patients can present symptoms or show specific areas of the body, while doctors overlay relevant medical information on the patient’s hologram, such as test results or medical images. This enriched experience provides doctors with a more comprehensive understanding of the patient’s condition, allowing for more accurate diagnoses and better treatment follow-up.

Why Choose Us?

A Mobile Application Development Company You Can Trust

Mixed Reality Technology

HXTEND is a platform developed by MDConsgroup that uses hologram-based mixed reality technology to enhance medical procedures.

Highlighted Areas and Confidence Score

When a structure is detected, the Aiworks EUS system labels the structure within a bounding box, providing the confidence score and emitting a beep.

Real-Time or Pre-Recorded Endoscopic Ultrasound

This device can be used during real-time procedures or in pre-recorded videos.

Detection at 30 Frames Per Second

The system performs detection at an average of 30 frames per second, and the screenshots taken are saved within a folder (perfect for training).
